On behalf of the NYMM Series Management, we would like to thank everyone who came out in a show of support for NYMM and for 2009 Series Champion, Jim Lafler. Please keep an eye on the website for updated information on the 2010 season!!!
I would like to start out by thanking Jim Morgan for coming to me in 2006 and asking me to be a part of the New York Modified Midget Series. In my four years with the series, I have had the opportunity to be a part of some of the finest 600cc racing in New York State. Thank you to all the tracks that worked with the series and worked through the early races when I was learning how to work a touring racing series. To the drivers, it has been my pleasure to work with some of the finest drivers I have ever been around. My job during the last 4 years was to put on a show for the fans, but in reality all I did was to coordinate a show, you were the ones that truly put on one heck of a show. There were times throughout my 4 years that I would find myself caught up in the racing as it was some of the closest and finest racing I have been a part of. To the crews, your friendships will be something missed greatly. One thing I have learned in 4 years is that racing is most fun when built around friendships. To my fellow officials, current and past, thank you for the pleasure of working with you! It was always my pleasure to put my shirt on and work with a great group of people and work so smoothly to put on a show. I will truly miss being part of such a great team! And last, to my Family, Roberta and Stephanie, thank you for following me and my love of racing for 10 seasons. I know that at times, the job has gotten to me, and unfortunately, you are the ones who took the heat. One thing that has kept me going in this sport for so long is that we did this as a family! I am looking forward to being home with my family and spending time touring colleges, coaching soccer and going on vacations other than racing and not having to do so around race weekends. Thank you to each and everyone that has somehow been a part of my racing career throughout my 4 years with NYMM, you will not be forgotten. I will see you around at the races, you can't get rid of me that easily.
